Crazy Hair

Bed Hair.  The longer it gets, the crazier it becomes.  Matt and I also had date night (sort of) and we went to a Blazers basketball game.  His manager had extra tickets.  The tickets were great because we were in a suite with other US Bank employee's and prospects.

Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving Day!!!  We all went to my parents house for an all made from scratch Thanksgiving meal.  Logan was able to join us, no shift at the firehouse that day.  A very yummy meal, some football and cookie decorating.  So grateful for the family I have!

A Day Of Sweets

Dylan wanted to make a cake and of course I couldn't turn him down.  So here is the very yummy cake Dylan and I made.  The star is made of sprinkles and all I did was lay a cookie cutter on top of the cake and carefully pour sprinkles within the cookie cutter.

And later in the day we ran to Home Goods to pick some things up.  They sell their little Jelly Bean bags for cheap so I bought a bag for the boys to share.  Of course they were all smiles and full of stickiness on the way home.

Dylan always has Mater towing around the hot wheels cars.  Watch out if a car doesn't want to be towed, Dylan does not like that.  Dylan has been saying a phrase for a week or two which I couldn't figure out what he was saying.  It sounded like "My sister is coming". Excuse me???  I would ask him what sister? And he would say no sister, "my sister is coming".  I finally just figured out what the heck he has been saying.  His birthday is coming!!!

We had a huge rain and wind storm last night and today.  The boys and I were leaving for a play date this morning and I found our trampoline hanging over the fence.  I asked Matt if for some reason he did it and he thought I was crazy so I had to send him this photo.

My Little Helper

Guess who my biggest helper was while I was trying to paint yesterday?  Of course it was my Lukey.  I left our little step ladder out and Luke climbed up the two steps and needed help getting down.  Really??  I think he was just having fun with me and would laugh when I would "help" him down.  That child did not need any help.  But it made him laugh and of course his laugh made my heart melt.

I finished painting the downstairs today and boy what a difference.  The builders had used a flat paint and I could never get the walls clean because of the flat paint and plus the original color was not as grey/dark as I thought it would be.  Now the walls have a grayish/blueish on them which makes the white trim pop and makes the cabinets look stunning. And I now can wipe down the walls.

I was watching some past videos of the boys and I had to post my 2 favorite of Dylan that I found. 

This one was from April 6. 2011 and Dylan was 15 months and only had been walking for about 3 months.  Dylan is wearing his pants on his head and I just love his expression.  He looks so little and he still has some baby fat on his legs.  (A lot of new things had just happened to Dylan. 3 weeks before we had just moved into our new home and 1 week after moving his little brother was born)

And this video is from 8.7.2011 when Dylan was 19 months (same age as Luke is now).  Dylan wasn't really speaking at the time and he had just learned to wink at us.  Wink, Wink!!!

Red, Yellow and Green

Just another fun day at home.  

But I will share what Dylan has been saying to me over and over while riding in the car with me.  "Don't crash into the car momma, that would be bad"  "Don't crash into the house momma, that would be bad".  Also he has become a very bossy back seat driver.  Just about every time we are approaching a stop sign or traffic lights, he is either telling me to slow down momma, go momma it's green (and now Luke chimes in and when the light is green he is screaming go go go) and stop momma it's a red light.  In case you didn't know but red means stop, yellow means slow down and green means go, just ask Dylan, he will tell you that over and over.  Let's just say that car rides with the boys are not boring at all.

The One Sock Bandit

Now that it is cold here in Oregon, the boys are back to wearing socks again.  And for some reason, ever since Luke was an itty bitty baby, he would always some how take off one sock.  Because of that, we started calling him the one sock bandit and it looks like it still holds true to this day.

A Boys Best Friend

Matt captured this moment on our way to pick up his truck from getting new tires.  I asked him to send me the photo and below the photo Matt wrote "A Boys Best Friend".  I couldn't say it any better.  Dylan loves Homer!  Homer and Princess seem to really bring comfort to Dylan because when they are around his ginger instantly goes in his mouth.  Matt and I are trying to break that habit of his but as you can see, it's not going to well.

There is this new song called 50 ways to say goodbye by Train that Dylan loves.  He knows most of the words and will sing and dance along to the song.  Same thing with Luke, but Luke only knows the words "help me, help me".  It's the cutest thing watching both boys dance and sing at the same time.  Unfortunately, I only got Dylan spinning (not dancing) and singing because Luke was to busy playing with his car.  And I know that this is not the best song for the boys to be learning, but they are soooo cute when it comes to this song.

Early Riser

Dylan decided to wake up early today (around 7am).  This kid needs his sleep and is not the happiest camper when he rises early.  I still needed to take my shower, so I tucked him into my spot of the bed.

Before the Cold Hits

The boys and I were going to be heading to the store but I opened the garage door before I had put them in their car seats (I'm always asking for trouble when I do that) so of course the boys grab their bikes/toys and headed down the driveway.  I couldn't argue because I knew we wouldn't be able to play outside for to much longer before the really cold weather shows up.

Matt was going to be out late tonight because of ACN, so I invited Amanda and her two children over for dinner.  Dylan and I made cupcakes for the kids to enjoy after dinner and of course Dylan had to have one after lunch because he just couldn't wait.

Laughter

The boys were actually sharing the iPad today and I was lucky enough to catch their laughter (and them sharing the iPad) on video.  Isn't laughter the best sound ever???

Pump It Up

November 6. 2012

Took the boys to Pump It Up (inflatable jumping place) today for a moms meet up.  Luke was impressing everyone by being able to climb up the steep steps and slide down by himself.  Thank goodness because trying to carry him and get to the top was always a work out.  The boys had fun jumping and being with their friends.  Oh yeah, daddy stopped by and got to see the boys and give them kisses.

The weather was somewhat decent.  No rain and it wasn't cold.  Dylan asked if we could play in the backyard, so outside we went.  It was nice because we didn't need sweatshirts or jackets.  The boys and  I jumped for awhile on the trampoline.  We hadn't jumped in a very long time.
